ABE LINCOLN - Buckbee's seed farm in Illinois introduce this popular variety in 1923.  Each cluster has as many as 9 bright red fruit each weighing up to 1 lb.  Round and smooth and very meaty with very few seeds.

AKERS WEST VIRGINIA - A treasured family heirloom from West Virginia.  A very large, pretty beef steak that tastes as good as it looks.  Each tomato weighs about a pound, and is mostly smooth with very little cracking or other blemishes.  85 days.

'AMISH SALAD'-Pink grape-shaped Amish Heirloom. Very productive, sweet, and tasty fruit

'ARKANSAS TRAVELER-5 to 7 oz pink heirloom. Incredibly delicious and smooth. Tolerant to heat humidity, crack and disease resistant.  80 to 90 days.

AUNT RUBY'S GERMAN GREEN - One of the largest green beef steaks.  This family heirloom from Germany makes the best green-fried tomatoes or green tomato relish.

'BLACK PLUM'-Small, elongated oval fruits are deep mahogany, sweet and fruity. Wonderful for snacking off the vine or adding to a salad. Indeterminate, 82 days

'BRANDYWINE'-10 to 16 oz pink heirloom variety from 1885. Luscious, rich, spicy flavor. Potato-shaped leaves. 6 to 7 ft vines. Indeterminate, 75 to 90 days

CELEBRITY - Semi-spreading plants can be mulched and left unsupported, but perform best when staked.  Standard for a main crop where multiple disease-resistance is required.  Bright red 7 ounce globe-shaped fruit.  Semi-determinant.  70 days.

'CHEROKEE PURPLE'-An old Cherokee Indian heirloom pre-1890. Beautiful deep, dusky, purple-pink color. Large fruit with superb sweet flavor. Indeterminate, relatively short vines. 80 days.

GERMAN JOHNSON - Vigorous vines produce large 12-24 ounce rough pink fruits with yellow shoulders.  Mild flavor, low acid and meaty. 80 days.

'GIANT BELGIUM'-Average two pounds, but know to grow up to 5 pounds. Heavy yields of dark-pink fruit. Delicious, sweet flavor. Indeterminate, 90 days

HOMEPLACE - Unique fully fluted red tomato that is grown in the garden at the 'Homeplace' in LBL.  Average 4-6 ounce with heavy yields.

MEXICO - This family heirloom was brought into the US by a Mexican family.  Very large plants have an excellent set of huge dark pink fruit with excellent tastes.  Expect steady continuous production of tomatoes that weigh more than one pound throughout the growing season.  80 days.

MORTGAGE LIFTER - Long-time favorite heirloom with large, smooth, pink-skinned fruit.  Meaty, mild, sweet flavor, with few seeds.  The story goes that Radiator Charlie developed this tomato and sold enough plants to pay off his mortgage.  Intermediate.  75 to 80 days.

'MOSKVICH'-4 to 6 oz deep-red fruit, extra-early tomato and cold tolerant. Heirloom globe-shaped smooth tomato. Rich taste. Indeterminate tall vines. 60 days

'MR STRIPEY'-9 oz to 2 pound large, ridge-shouldered fruit. 1800's heirloom that is orange-yellow mottled with red. Flesh is red. Mild taste, low acid. Indeterminate, 80 days

'PERSIMMON'-Heirloom that dates back to the mid-1800's. This is a yellow or persimmon colored tomato that can reach up to 2 pounds each. Very few seeds. From Mennonites from Christian County

'PURPLE CALABASH'-Deep purple burgundy. Flattened, fluty fruit is about 3" across. Flavor is distinctively winery, rich and intense. Indeterminate, 80 to 90 days

RED GRAPE - Oval to oblong, baby red grape tomatoes are firm, meaty, and free of cracking.  These little freuits have a delicious, chewy texture, sweet taste and few seeds.

'ROMA'-A quality paste tomato, very thick flesh. Good for sauces and canning. Compact vines with large yields of 3" long, bright red fruit that is plum-shaped. Determinate, 78 days

'ROSE'-Rivals Brandywine for taste. Deep pink, dark, smooth heirloom. Meaty and flavorful. Indeterminate Tall vines with normal-leaf plants. 78 days

'RUTGERS' 8oz Bright Red Fruits'-All-purpose heirloom ideal for canning. Ripens evenly from inside-out. Full-bodied old-timer flavor and disease resistance. Determinate large vines 75 days

SIOUX - Their heirloom variety was originally released in 1944 by the University of Nebraska and is worth planting today because of its incredible flavor and reliably large harvests even in hot weather.  Sweet, yet tangy and full of those rich flavors that make a delicious tomato memorable.

SNOW WHITE - Pale, yellow, ivory colored, small cherry fruit that has a delicious taste.  One of the few white cherries.  This one you will find yourself snacking on in the garden because it tastes so good.

'ST PIERRE'-4 to 6 oz French heirloom. Deep red and rich in flavor. Great for canning or fresh eating. Excellent producer even in bad conditions. Popular in Europe. Indeterminate medium-sized vines. 55 to 60 days.

THAI PINK EGG - Delicious, grape tomatoes from Thailand.  This crisp pink 1 ounce fruit us bursting with natural goodness, sweet and rich.

'YELLOW PEAR'-1 oz yellow pear-shaped heirloom. Grown since the late 1800's. Tender, mild flavor and low in acid. Delicious in salads or pickled. Popular in specialty markets and restaurant trade. Indeterminate tall, vigorous vines. 70 days.
